This year's Anime Midwest took place in Rosemont, IL from July 8-10, 2016. We shared a city and convention center with another convention. I addressed the fact that there was another convention back in May of 2016, taking note that we would be hiring a significant amount of extra security as a result.

Over 12,000 people came to the Hyatt Regency O'hare and Stephens Convention Center over the past few days for a weekend of cosplaying, vendors, events, and guests. In order to provide a fun environment that stays safe all weekend, AnimeCon.

Several months ago I began a lawsuit against a website and its operators for their statements against me, which were often in my opinion libelous (untrue) and malicious. They called me a lot of names, which, in today's internet age is altogether common.

An incredible anime convention comes to Chicago this July, to the Hyatt Regency O'hare in Rosemont, Illinois. "Anime Midwest":http://animemidwest.com is a three day anime convention that aims to give anime fans the chance to meet special guests including animation directors, character designers, voice actors, and more, in a fun and event-filled environment.

AnimeCon.org has known for a while that we'll be sharing the convention center with another convention in July in Chicago, and we have had conversations with their team about how best to support both events while keeping any potential problems minimized.

A few updates to make AniMinneapolis better than ever. We have awesome guests and tons of events, but every year we try to add more improvements. This year: * 24 hour video gaming. * More gaming tournaments and prizes.

Little fluffy balls of cuteness (and sometimes evil). No, I'm not talking about cats (especially when they like to knock things off of tables), but owls. There's no place in the world filled with more peace and tranquility for the owl lover, then an owl Cafe in Tokyo.

If you don't know how picking convention dates works, it can be really confusing. Why are there so many cons at the same time of year, or the same weekend even, when there are 52 weekends every single year.

My entire goal in organizing conventions is to support nerds like myself. I grew up in a high school like any other, where playing sports and partying made you cool and getting a high GPA made you a dork.

Continuing a tradition of incredible conventions in the Midwest, AnimeCon.org will be presenting Con+Alt+Delete, an anime convention, in Chicago this December 18-20, 2016. C+A+D is a three day convention that will blend the best of an anime convention with various fandoms, video game tournaments, and special events to create a massive fandom weekend.
