Fighting for Women in Iowa

Billionaires and mega-corporations are stealing from all of us. For decades, politicians have promised relief while quietly shifting the tax burden away from the ultra-wealthy and onto working people. The result? Stagnant wages, skyrocketing costs, and a system rigged against everyday Iowans.

Women are among the hardest hit. While billionaires dodge taxes and amass unimaginable wealth, women are left to pick up the slack—earning less for the same work, shouldering unpaid labor at home, and navigating economic policies designed to favor the rich. The cost of childcare, healthcare, and basic necessities keeps rising, but wages don’t. And when women speak up, corporate-backed politicians tell them to “just work harder.”

It’s time to put working women ahead of Wall Street. I will fight to raise wages, close loopholes that let the ultra-rich avoid taxes, and ensure women have the economic freedom to build the futures they deserve.

Protecting Women's Health

The right to healthcare is under attack, and women bear the brunt of these dangerous policies. Iowa has some of the most restrictive abortion laws in the country, forcing women into impossible situations. No government should have the power to force a woman to carry a pregnancy against her will.

I will fight to codify abortion rights in Iowa, ensuring safe and legal access to reproductive healthcare. The government has no place in personal medical decisions, and I will do everything in my power to protect bodily autonomy.

Support for Domestic Violence Survivors

One in four women experience domestic violence, yet survivors are too often left without resources to escape dangerous situations. Shelters are underfunded, legal aid is limited, and financial independence is out of reach for many who are trying to rebuild their lives.

I will increase funding for domestic violence shelters, provide legal support for survivors, and establish emergency financial assistance for those leaving abusive households. No woman should be forced to stay in a dangerous situation because she has nowhere else to go.

Fair Pay and Workplace Protections

Women still earn less than men for the same work, and the gap is even wider for women of color. Corporations have gotten away with wage theft, discrimination, and harassment for too long. It’s time for accountability.

I will push for stronger equal pay laws, enforce protections against workplace harassment, and make it easier for women to report discrimination without fear of retaliation.

Affordable Childcare for Working Families

Billionaires get tax breaks for their yachts, while working mothers can’t afford childcare. It’s absurd. Families should not have to choose between paying rent and securing safe care for their children.

I will fight for universal childcare subsidies, ensuring that working parents—especially mothers—have access to affordable, high-quality care. Raising children is work, and it’s time we start valuing it as such.

Our Plan for Women in Iowa

  • Codify abortion rights and protect access to reproductive healthcare.
  • Increase funding for domestic violence shelters and emergency support.
  • Strengthen equal pay laws and workplace protections.
  • Ensure universal access to affordable childcare.
  • Make billionaires pay their fair share, so women and families don’t bear the burden.

Women deserve more than empty promises. They deserve action. My campaign is about building a fair, just, and safe Iowa for all women—not just the wealthy few.
