Fighting for Working-Class White Iowans

Billionaires and mega-corporations are stealing from all of us. For decades, politicians have promised relief while quietly shifting the tax burden away from the ultra-wealthy and onto working people. The result? Stagnant wages, skyrocketing costs, and a system rigged against everyday Iowans.

While the wealthiest 1% enjoy record profits, White working-class families are struggling. Wages have barely risen in decades, while the cost of housing, healthcare, and food keeps climbing. Companies cut jobs, reduce benefits, and demand more work for less pay—while their CEOs cash in billion-dollar bonuses.

It doesn’t have to be this way. The government should be working for you, not for the ultra-rich. I will fight for higher wages, stronger workplace protections, and a social safety net that ensures no working family is left behind.

Higher Wages and Workplace Protections

Every hard-working Iowan deserves a paycheck they can actually live on. Yet too many people are stuck in jobs that pay just enough to survive—but never enough to get ahead. Big corporations and billionaires have lobbied to keep wages low while making it easier to fire workers without cause.

I will fight for higher wages and common-sense workplace protections: ensuring fair pay, stopping companies from firing people for no reason, and making workplaces safer. A strong economy starts with a strong workforce, not with CEOs hoarding all the profits.

Mental Health and Addiction Treatment

The opioid crisis has devastated White working-class communities. While billionaires and pharmaceutical executives rake in profits from addictive painkillers, families are being torn apart. The government bailed out the banks, but where is the bailout for the families destroyed by addiction?

I will invest in addiction treatment programs, mental health services, and rehabilitation instead of locking people up for drug addiction. We need to treat addiction as a public health crisis, not a criminal issue. No one should have to choose between getting help and keeping their job.

Stronger Social Safety Nets

When billionaires crash the economy, they get bailouts. When working-class families fall on hard times, they get told to “pull themselves up by their bootstraps.” That’s not how it should work. The programs that help struggling families—unemployment benefits, food assistance, and housing programs—are lifelines for millions of Americans, including White families who are working hard but still struggling to get by.

I will fight to strengthen these programs so that no family has to choose between rent and groceries. A strong safety net doesn’t make people lazy—it keeps families stable when they need it most.

Fighting Voter Suppression

Billionaires and corporate elites know that if you vote in your best interest, they lose. That’s why they spend unlimited amounts of money on ads, political donations, and lobbyists to convince you that social programs are bad while they pocket your tax dollars in corporate subsidies. They want you to think your vote doesn’t matter—because when you stop voting, they win.

I will fight to protect voting rights, limit the influence of money in politics, and ensure that every Iowan—regardless of income—can have a say in their future. If billionaires can spend unlimited money on elections, working people deserve to have their voices heard too.

Our Plan for Working-Class White Iowans

  • Raise wages so families can afford a home, groceries, and a future.
  • Protect workers from being fired without reason and ensure safe working conditions.
  • Expand mental health and addiction treatment to address the opioid crisis.
  • Strengthen unemployment, food assistance, and housing programs for struggling families.
  • Fight voter suppression so billionaires can’t buy elections and convince you to vote against yourself.

Working-class White families are being crushed by the same system that’s hurting everyone else. My campaign isn’t about empty promises—it’s about making sure the government works for you, not for the billionaires.
