Single parents know this struggle better than anyone. While the cost of housing, childcare, and food keeps rising, wages stay flat, benefits get cut, and politicians do nothing to make life easier. Instead of supporting single parents, they spend their time attacking reproductive healthcare and making it harder to raise kids.
It’s time for a government that actually helps single parents. I will fight for paid leave, better schools, free reproductive healthcare, strict child support enforcement, and expanded food assistance—because no parent should have to struggle just to survive.
If you’re raising a child alone, you should have the right to take time off when you need it—whether it’s for a sick child, a school emergency, or just a moment to breathe. But too many single parents are forced to choose between their paycheck and their kids.
I will push for a guaranteed minimum of two weeks of paid leave for any worker at a business with more than 10 employees. No parent should be punished for putting their child first.
Schools in low-income areas—where many single parents live—are consistently underfunded. The rich send their kids to private schools while public schools are left to scrape by with outdated textbooks and overcrowded classrooms.
I will fight to fully fund public schools so that every child—no matter their background—has access to a great education.
Birth control, prenatal care, and postpartum support shouldn’t be luxuries. These are basic healthcare services that keep parents and children healthy, and they cost the government almost nothing to provide.
I will push to make reproductive healthcare completely free, including contraception, prenatal care, and postpartum medical support. If politicians actually cared about families, they’d make it easier—not harder—to access the healthcare that keeps them healthy.
Too many parents get away with not paying child support while the other parent struggles to keep food on the table. Courts are slow, enforcement is weak, and deadbeat parents know they can game the system.
I will push for aggressive enforcement of child support laws, including wage garnishments, asset seizures, and even arrests for those who refuse to pay. If you bring a child into this world, you pay your share—no excuses.
Programs like SNAP and WIC help millions of families afford basic groceries, yet politicians constantly try to cut them while giving billionaires tax breaks. These programs keep kids fed and give single parents some breathing room.
I will expand SNAP and WIC eligibility so more families can access the support they need. Food assistance shouldn’t come with endless hoops and paperwork—it should be there when families need it.
