Billionaires and mega-corporations are stealing from all of us. For decades, politicians have promised relief while quietly shifting the tax burden away from the ultra-wealthy and onto working people. The result? Stagnant wages, skyrocketing costs, and a system rigged against everyday Iowans.
LGBTQ+ people know exactly what it’s like to be used as a political distraction while corporations and the ultra-rich hoard money and power. While politicians stir up outrage over gender and sexuality, they quietly sell out your wages, your housing, and your healthcare to the highest bidder.
My campaign is about protecting your rights, your safety, and your future. Discrimination should be illegal, hate should not be tolerated, and no one should be forced to endure abusive “conversion therapy” in the name of politics or religion.
No one should lose their job, their home, or their safety because of who they are. Yet in many places, it's still legal to discriminate against LGBTQ+ people in housing, employment, and public services.
I will push to make discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity illegal statewide. And let’s be real—discriminating against trans people is just another way to make it easier to discriminate against all women, which is unacceptable.
So-called “conversion therapy” is not therapy—it’s abuse. LGBTQ+ youth should not be subjected to psychological torture disguised as treatment, yet many states still allow these harmful practices to continue.
I will make conversion therapy illegal in Iowa and ensure that licensed professionals who engage in it lose their ability to practice. No child should be forced into a program designed to shame and traumatize them.
Schools love to say they have “zero tolerance” for bullying, but in reality, they do almost nothing to stop it. Too often, schools punish victims for “making a scene” instead of holding bullies accountable.
I will push for policies that make schools enforce real consequences for bullying, rather than just slapping a meaningless “zero tolerance” label on it. Zero tolerance policies must go, because schools punish people who are just defending themselves from bullying. Schools need to actually protect kids, not blame them for standing up for themselves.
Hate crimes against LGBTQ+ people are on the rise, and too many go ignored or unpunished. While billionaires pay politicians to push anti-LGBTQ+ policies, actual violence against queer people is treated as an afterthought.
I will push for stronger penalties for hate crimes and ensure that local law enforcement treats these cases seriously. Safety is not optional—it’s a basic human right.
LGBTQ+ people should be able to live their lives without fear, discrimination, or political games. My campaign is about action—real protections, real safety, and real justice.
