My Passions: Sustainability, AI, and Humanity

Hi, I'm Ryan Kopf, a multifaceted individual with a diverse background in entrepreneurship, software development, event organization, and a strong commitment to sustainability and the betterment of human lives. Throughout my life, I've worn many hats and have been fortunate enough to pursue my passions in various ways.

One of my core values is promoting sustainability and eco-friendly living. This is evident through my involvement in the solar panel industry, and my commitment to growing my own vegetables using a Farmbot. I strongly believe that by fostering a sustainable future, we can leave a better world for the generations to come.

Under conservative estimates, the amount of annual power I installed in solar helped prevent the release of nearly 5,520,000 lbs (2,508 metric tons) of CO2 into the atmosphere each year. Moreover, solar energy also helps reduce the emission of air pollutants like sulfur dioxide (SO2), nitrogen oxides (NOx), and particulate matter.

These pollutants are known to cause respiratory issues and other health problems. The American Lung Association estimates that reducing air pollution by 10% could prevent approximately 4,000 premature deaths and 6,800 emergency room visits annually in the United States. Given the scale of my solar installations, it is reasonable to assume that they have significantly contributed to improved air quality in the surrounding areas, potentially extending the longevity of my neighbors and enhancing their overall quality of life.

Since 2010, I've been the founder and CEO of my own company, leveraging my 20 years of experience in software development to create value for my clients and stakeholders. I've managed to successfully grow my company and oversee a range of ventures, including organizing seven annual anime conventions, operating the world's largest anime dating website, and doing over a million dollars in solar panel installations.

Technology and Artificial Intelligence

As a software developer with two decades of experience, I have been fascinated by the transformative power of technology and artificial intelligence. I developed, an amazing platform for selling tickets, and I am constantly striving to create technologies that make people's lives easier and more enjoyable.

Education and Language

I earned my bachelor's degree from the University of Iowa and am proficient in multiple languages, including Japanese and Spanish. I visit Japan annually for business and enjoy the opportunity to immerse myself in different cultures and experiences.

Travel and Adventure

Adventure has always been a significant part of my life. I am a certified scuba diver and relish the opportunity to explore the depths of the ocean. My travels have taken me to various parts of the world, enriching my perspective and fostering a sense of global citizenship.

Real Estate and Community Involvement

As a property investor, I have developed a portfolio of different rental properties. Whenever I invest in a rental property my goal is to provide meaningful value through my own labor. In the first building I ever bought, I spent over 100 hours fixing cracked stucco, installing insulation, and generally making the place better. I've done major upgrades on every single property I've ever purchased. My involvement in local organizations such as Rotary and the Jaycees has allowed me to give back to my community and contribute to the well-being of those around me.

Personal Interests

When it comes to my personal interests, I enjoy the simple pleasures in life, such as savoring a glass of rum with a twist of lime, admiring the beauty of owls, and engaging in meaningful conversations with friends and family.

In conclusion, my life has been a unique blend of passions and pursuits, driven by a desire to make a positive impact on the world. I am proud of my accomplishments and am excited about what the future holds for me and the people whose lives I can touch through my work in sustainability, AI, and humanitarian efforts.
